Mark, after 350 queries in July, and 70+ rejections, I can resume in Sept. But it will only be my 2nd-choice agents in the agencies that passed or didn’t reply. One agency Gold Dust did ask for the full text of my 1st Cuba book. I also learned my Lusitania Lost epic was sold by its publisher Mango to a bigger house, Turner Books! I hope they do a new print run, more promo, etc. I’ll need to craft a new cover letter to send both Cuba books to Turner. BUT I’ve also informed Gold Dust that I may want representation on any new book deal. I’ve arranged to attend BoucherCon mystery writers’ con in San Diego, Sept 2, and I asked Gwyn Jordan at Gold Dust for a meet, since they’ll be there. Any sage comments on how to handle this?

I am a published (non-fiction) UK Christian author and have written an MG fantasy novel with Christian overtones and fairly traditional tropes ( think CS Lewis Narnia stories). However the setting is English – time travel to a W.W 1 prisoner of war camp from an English forest. Is there a market for this in the US? I want to reach a wider audience than I would with my existing publisher (M D / Sarah Grace Publishing) – preferably a non-Christian as well as Christian readership. Thanks.

There are so few agents who represent poetry, and most of them only want poetry from award-winning poets who are well published, that I don’t have those agents identified in my agent directory, unfortunately. But if you do a Google search such as “literary agents who represent poetry” you’ll likely find someone(s) with those agents online.
