Hello Mark,
You helped me successfully find an agent but after 2 years no deals. I have 2 graphic novels. The industry seems in upheaval. Do you have any thoughts? I am with Anande Lit.
Hi Felix,
Thrilled to know you got a literary agent, as I’m not sure I knew that…though, of course, I’m sorry to hear that have been able to get you a book deal yet. Hopefully that will change, and soon. Not much you can do at this point except work on your next project and give them what they need. If you had written a book and it received a very favorable review and an adaptation agency wanted to make a movie out if it, and your publisher would not cooperate nor would they promote the book, would you not be frustrated?
Hi Terence,
I don’t know all the details, but yes, I believe I’d be frustrated…and I hope your situation improves.

Good morning, Mark: 5/11/2023
Just to let you know that my memoir, A Splendid Gift: Celebrating Sixty Years in Nursing, is now ready for
publication. Indigo River Publishing has sent the print
copy for approval and it is set for printing. I want to
thank you again for all your early advice and support.
It is a beautiful book and I am proud to have written it.
As the publication page says, “With Indigo River Publishing
you can always expect great books, strong voices, and
meaningful messages. Most importantly, you’ll always
find words worth reading.” Very happy they chose mine.
Hi Barbara,
I love it, thank you for the wonderful message, and thank you for letting me know…please let me know, also, when it’s on Amazon so I can be the first (or, at least, on of the first) to buy a print copy. 🙂
Looking forward to having/holding the final product!
– Mark
