As an atheist, I’ve written a 79,000 word “take” on the Judeo-Christian scriptures in attempting to—by using the very words contained in the Pentateuch/Gospels to debunk the whole concept of their presumed god. Thing is, I have no idea what genre to use in seeking a literary agent. Any ideas?

I have published 14 Adventure/Mystery novels on Amazon.com and as Kindle reads. I have also published a memoir of my Sudden Cardiac death on an airplane at 30,000 feet. Finally, I have published a trilogy about a Native American youth who grew up in the Mississippian Mound Builder culture 1000 years ago. I have found agents to be arrogant and difficult to approach. However, I yearn to be recognized by a main-stream publishing house.

Would a story about sailing from Taiwan in a stolen yacht, hitting two major typhoons at sea while being chased by the Chinese govt., hiding out in the southern Philippines, being attacked by the Sulu Pirates under gunfire, night diving with the Sea Gypsies in Sibutu, going to Changi Prison in Singapore for gun charges, and ending up working on the Southern Australian railroad, out in the bush, make a sellable true story.
