I was wondering if I could get some help. I’m a graduate student at a University in North Dakota and was given the following assignment…I’ll just post it below.
Identify Literary Agents who are based in North Dakota (I know we do not have many agents in ND, but that is the challenge). These could be literary agencies with multiple agents. You could also use our neighboring city of Minneapolis (Minnesota), but for 1-2 agents.
•Identify Literary Agents who work with the Sci-Fi genre (the most common genre),Young adult fiction. Agents do not work exclusively on a single genre, so they might alsohave other genres mentioned on their website.
•You are trying to recruit successful candidates who are open to work/queries. To understand if they are successful, look for mention of their clients (authors).
So, I wanted to see if I could get a list of ND based Literary candidates to complete the assignment. Please let me know if this is at all possible.

Project Overview:
Genre: Memoir
Synopsis: My memoir explores the journey of an executive assistant turned undercover detective for some of the world’s most powerful companies. It delves into the connections between corporations, courtrooms, and the Crown, focusing on themes of corruption and justice. Given its controversial nature, I believe it requires a strong, determined agent to champion it.
Current Status:
My query letter has been receiving responses from agents, but I haven’t received any offers yet.
What I’m Looking For:
Recommendations and specific guidance on targeting agents who have an interest in my subject area and connections to major publishing houses. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
