OK, you’ve signed with a literary agent. Is it generally expected that this agent will also represent most if not all of your books going forward? Will my agent want to know about all of the other books I have ready to publish?

      Hi Steven,

      Hopefully.

If they other books are in the same genre, and the first book sells and sells well, it’s more likely.

Yes, most agents would ask about other work you’re thinking about writing, or you’ve already written.

    Mark,
Just follow up from a former client. My debut novel, A Knife in the Fog, is being pitched in the UK by a movie director. A producer, art director, and film actor have attached themselves to the project. I’m currently writing a short screenplay for one scene that will highlight the major characters as part of our pitch.
Thank you for helping me get my foot in the door.

      Hi Brad!

I love it, and thank you for the kind words. You are a rock star in my eyes, and I’m glad more and more people are becoming aware of your work. Can’t wait to see more from you about the film side. That would (will) be fantastic. Hope you’re working on your next book as well. Not sure if I told you but we got our first place recently, in Vegas. Keeping busy, as always, of course. But never too busy for your updates. You’re one of my favorite people. 🙂
