Do literary agents ever take on short stories (my question is for collections *and* individual stories) to send to magazines, anthologies, etc.?
Hi Ajinkya,
Rarely, usually just when the author writes novels as well. You should Google “literary agents who represent short stories” to find those who are open to such submissions. There are so few that I don’t list that specific thing, unfortunately, in my agent directory.

I spoke with Mark one year ago about my novel The Good American. He offered good advice. I have since done a major rewrite with a wonderful editor. The book is ready to submit and I would like to book a time to speak with him again and perhaps do the full course of guidance.
Hi Keith,
Welcome back, congratulations on getting it done, and I just sent you a separate/private email re: us seeing if we’re a fit to do more together.
Looking forward to that,
– Mark

Emailed several agents at your site. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ve got a good book–Photography and Schizophrenia and I am also disabled. It should be something of interest with a potential market and it’s a good topic. Do you know of an agent who would welcome pictures and text and work done by a 293?
Hi Jean,
It could be you simply need to query more agents, but look at the following before you send more, if you haven’t read it yet:

I’m unable, unfortunately, to recommend specific agents the way you’re asking though. There are too many, representing too many genres. But if you read the bios of the agents in the directory, you’ll be able to narrow it down.
