Hi Mark,
Recently I got a contract from Xlibris Book Resource to take on a self publishing effort on a novel that was rejected by their company a few years ago. Do you believe this is usual and due to the writers’ strike? They seem to try to direct my attention to a ‘redo’. It sounds odd to me. Do you agree?

I can’t imagine it has anything to do with the writers’ strike. I also believe you’ll be happier with a traditional publisher, so you might consider trying that first.
