Good morning Mark,
I currently have copyrighted and published sixteen novels and have joined up with Smashwords. I am well into my sixteenth novel and still enjoy the creative process.
After doing much research on the internet on how to write a query letter, I commenced to send countless letters to literary agents without one response. My website, www.caperscove.net, will give you a good idea about what I’m all about and what my books are all about.
I’ve even tried knocking on publishers’ doors myself, but they showed no interest in communicating with someone who was
unknown as an author or had no celebrity whatsoever.
The only connection I made was with Stuart Woods shortly before he passed away last year. He wished me good luck and his response encouraged me to keep on trying to connect with someone who could help me reach my goals.
Smashwords is a huge help with the distribution of one’s work all over the world, but doesn’t offer much help when it comes to other marketing venues.
I keep on writing because I enjoy doing so, but I am reconciling myself to the probability that I’m just spitting in the wind when it comes to attaining any significant success in becoming a bestselling author.
I got your email and it prompted me to respond with this.
I’m looking to connect with a literary agent who can connect me with a top ten publisher and any fees and commissions involved will come from the sales of my novels. I’m tired of dealing with scamsters.
Hoping I’ve piqued your interest,
Sincerely,
Dan Kelly========
