After self-publishing 2 nonfictions, I have spent a year trying for a lit agent for the first of a 2 novel series, both completed. Nearly out of agents for book 1, so starting queries for book 2. I can always self-pub book 1, but does it make sense to wait until I see if anyone picks up book 2? I know the odds are slim for any of this. Thanks.

Glad you asked. Yes, I”d wait and see what happens with agents with book two, before publishing book one. Agents and publishers will prefer neither book having been published.
