I have had several offers from various movie companies to buy my work. However, the most difficult part is understanding why they want me to be a best-selling author before they move forward with a contract. I assume this is because they want me to use a company they suggest to pay for this. So I have ignored the offers even from Lionsgate. I want to know if this is prudent or if I should proceed with the offers.

I have no way of knowing if any of that is legitimate, as I don’t have enough information. You should find out, sooner rather than later, so you don’t miss an opportunity if there’s one there. Consider trying the Authors Guild, or set up a call with me below.

Hi Mark,
If in the Submission Guidelines of an agency they ask for the first three chapters, but don’t say if the material should be pasted or attached, can I assume that they have no problem with receiving attachments?
