Is the word count of 60,000 acceptable for a 2nd book sequel?

It depends on the genre. If you Google the correct word count range for your genre, that will help. If adult fiction, should be okay.

Hello,
I’ve been following Mark Malatesta’s posts for quite some time. I’m an author with 3 self-published books presently selling on Amazon; was recently scammed by a so-called literary agent who intro’d my work to a scammer supposedly working for Focus Feature Films who said I needed a Hollywood Treatment for my sequel (the first book had one); and I was intro’d to another scammer who supposedly was an NCIS accredited writer. $8000 later, I knew I’d been had. All of my books have garnered positive ratings on Amazon and I’d like to pursue a literary agent now, before I finish the sequel to my 3rd self-published book, which should be in a few months. I believe I’m a candidate for a legitimate book agent now, I’ve just been trying to overcome the past scammer frustrations. I’d taken the social media track and have viable posts on TikTok and Instagram. I have book trailers for 2 of my novels. My question: With what I’ve presented, would you say a book agent is my next step considering my social media presence, positive Amazon reviews (between 48 and 56) for all 3 books, and a 4th on the way?
