I have written a book. Title “Alien Brother”. It was self published and I terminated my relationship with the publisher because they misled me. Recently I was contacted by an Albert Sanchez who represented himself as a literary agent who was interested in forming an agreement. His phone number and email were legit. But after sending my manuscript and a signed agreement, I can no longer make contact. Is anyone aware of this individual? If not how can I find an interested agent. The book is science fiction with a never before approach to a contact by an alien species.

I have received an offer from Thompson Literary Agency. Are they legitimate? They say I need to have a developmental edit done, redesign the cover, and get book reviews. They say they have received a letter of intent from HarperCollins. Should I proceed with this company, or are they somehow scamming me? I have been in contact with Samantha Wekstein. Is she a reputable literary agent and should I proceed with trusting her and proceed with the process?

It seems that literary agents don’t seem much interested in novels about the romantic travails of being a single baby boomer. Are you finding that as well?

It’s challenging getting literary agents to read anything, but yes, I’ve also found it particularly difficult to get them reading Boomer books, which makes no sense since there’s a huge market! So, it might not be you, or entirely you, but them.

Dear Mr. Malatesta, thank you for continuing to send me helpful emails on getting published. I listened to your guidelines and have read L. Lehr’s story. In 2022 I was cancelled by Google and they destroyed my computer. I lost two years of work, but it made me a better writer. I was unable to afford your coaching but made a commitment to compensate you if I ever did get published. That still stands today. I polished my query letter and got a positive response to pitch, but made a carinal mistake.
