Do agents consider one book authors? I have written an offbeat comedy novel but I’m not sure if I see myself writing any more books at this stage. I get the impression agents are looking for more prolific writers? I would be interested in your views. Thanks.

Certainly, though they prefer authors who will write more than one. So don’t decide now, and don’t say you’re not going to write more. Simple as that.

I could not find a single agent in your database who is interested in representing a book on bereavement, my topic. How can I find such an agent? Contact specific authors? Go to the AAR?
Hi Adam,
I’d need to talk with you to be sure which types of agents you should query. Sounds like agents who say they handle Self-Help and/or General Nonfiction. And you need to send each agent what they ask for. Some say query only. Some say query and proposal. Etc.
